“Everything rises and falls on leadership.” Many people hear that phrase and think it’s just another catchy quote. But to me, it’s a way of life. Don’t get me wrong, when it comes to leadership, I certainly haven’t “arrived”. As a matter of fact, I have had personal heroes and mentors that have forgotten more about leadership than I’ll ever know. However, at 19 years old, my hunger for leadership was awakened and hasn’t been satisfied yet. For the last 10 years I have made a personal commitment to find out what leadership is, to study and learn about it, and make every attempt to practice it in my own life. I am honored that God would now give me the opportunity to teach from what I have learned from my reading of Scripture, from my mentors, from my studies, and from all my success and failures.

So welcome to ELEVATE. To elevate simply means, to raise or to lift. ELEVATE is now officially the leadership of Destiny Church. I have heard it said that “Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less.” And I believe it. Did you know that survey's show that each of us influence at least ten thousand other people during our lifetime? So the question is not whether you will influence someone, but how you will use your influence. Think for a moment about the many roles we have in life that have afforded us the opportunity to lead. For many of us we may be coach’s, spouses, parents, Church program leaders, small business owners, mentors, teachers, managers, neighbors, CEO’s, Christians, and many other roles that will give us influence in other peoples lives. Elevate is designed to help you develop your leadership ability and increase your personal and organizational success. Whether your desire is to build a business, strengthen your children, or reach your world, the first step in achieving it is raising your level of leadership.

With ELEVATE, my desire is to help to define leadership, to identify traits every leader should develop, and to show the impact leadership can have on your life and the lives of those you lead. Will you continue to join me, as we walk this journey together, while growing, learning, stretching, and asking God to help us ELEVATE our desire and our ability to lead.

Elevate.Wired is a newsletter that will be sent on a regular basis that will serve to inform, network, and to resource. The left side of the page will consist of information that is permanent, Chad's choice which is the chosen book of the month, or scheduling info that will change each month.
